Carl started his career as a Data Centre operator, later Assembler Systems Programmer for the New Zealand State Services Commission providing IT services to the nations Police and Justice Ministries.
Since moving to Europe in the early 1990's he has provided Mainframe, Unix and Project Management consultancy in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Germany. The clients he has worked for include Cargolux, Deutsche Telekom, Lufthansa, UBS Bank, Dresdner Bank, Allianz Insurance and the European Commission.
Settled with 4 children living in Luxembourg, he enjoys playing squash, mountain/motor cycling and is a passionate Open Source supporter.

Having successfully achieved her Masters Degree in Human Resources, Liliane decided to start her career with an international position in Italy where she became an IT recruitment consultant for Spring Technology. After 2 successful years in Milan, Liliane decided to embark on a new challenge in Luxembourg as an IT recruitment consultant and team leader in a startup company, which has given her a good all round appreciation of how the different departments in a company function. She now brings all her experience and motivation to Halian.

Liliane’s hobbies include listening to music and playing guitar as an autodidact. 

Following our listing in the Sunday Times International Fast Track 100 at #11, Halian was recently invited to Number 10 Downing Street for a private drinks reception.

Our Group Managing Director, Levon Antonian attended on behalf of the company and was personally introduced to The Prime Minister, David Cameron. They discussed Halian’s achievement in rapidly growing a vibrant overseas business from our European offices in Belgium & Luxembourg and more recently into the emerging markets of The Middle East and Africa from our regional base in Dubai.

Dell onsite systems engineer (OSE) for our client Fazal Yawar Ali Latif makes working in the dynamic Saudi Arabian market look easy.

And his hard work has not gone unnoticed. This week during a Middle East OSE team event, Ali Latif was presented with a certificate of appreciation signed by Stuart Fry (General Manager of Halian’s Middle East and Africa operations) and Mo Laher (Dell’s Head of Services Middle East).

Mo Laher commended Fazal for his “attitude [wherein] the customer comes first” as well as his ability to “get the job done right the first time”.

Which, for anyone who has worked in the ever-changing Gulf region, is high praise indeed.
