IAM Engineer – Specializing in Privileged Access Management (PAM)

? Your Mission

As an IAM Engineer, you’ll play a central role in managing and evolving a comprehensive IAM platform based on Microfocus NetIQ. A key focus of your role will be the implementation and optimization of the Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution, ensuring secure onboarding of critical applications and enforcing access segregation across environments.

?? Key Responsibilities

Privileged Access Management (PAM)

• Lead the onboarding of critical applications onto the PAM platform.
• Implement key vault functionality, session monitoring, and access segregation.
• Align with platform owners and application teams to enforce secure access models.
• Provide alternative solutions where PAM enforcement is limited.
• Support technical audits by assessing current access structures and recommending improvements.
• Collaborate with developers to implement Active Directory (AD) group structures and privilege minimization strategies.

Access Management Platform Operations

• Maintain and optimize the Access Manager platform across all environments (TST, ACC, PROD).
• Integrate new business applications and IT systems into the access management solution.
• Troubleshoot incidents, coordinate patches, and ensure platform stability.
• Optionally contribute to the design and implementation of new IAM processes and features.

Identity Governance & Development

• Develop and streamline identity workflows, approvals, and provisioning logic.
• Customize integrations for new applications and roles within the NetIQ ecosystem.
• Tune and configure the Identity Governance and PAM components for performance and compliance.

Collaboration & Coaching

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and coach peers on IAM and PAM practices.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with IAM and PAM best practices.

? What You Bring

Technical Skills

• Degree in Informatics (Bachelor or Master).
• Strong knowledge of directory services, web protocols (SOAP, REST, Java), and J2EE server administration.
• Experience with Red Hat systems and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, VBScript).
• Proven experience implementing and managing PAM tools.
• Familiarity with NetIQ platforms and Identity Provider (IDP) systems is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in IT.
