Contract

Currently, we are seeking a talented DevOps Mid-level Engineer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in steering the organization through its digital and transformation journey.

Overall Job Description
As a Mid-level DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor in building and operating our API and automation platform capabilities, leveraging enterprise API Gateway technologies (Kong / Gravitee / Tyk) and workflow orchestration platforms such as n8n (and not limited to these). You will help design, deploy, and run secure, scalable gateway and orchestration services across our Kubernetes-based environments (EKS, OpenShift, TKGI), enabling consistent API exposure, traffic management, policy enforcement, and workflow automation across domains.
You will also drive platform automation and reliability through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), strengthen CI/CD and GitOps practices (primarily GitLab and Argo), and support end-to-end operations across AWS and on-prem infrastructure by covering observability, resilience, security controls, and standardized onboarding for squads and products.

Professional Skills

• Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and transformation patterns.
• Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise API Gateway platforms (Kong / Gravitee / Tyk) including gateway/ingress patterns, API definitions (routes/services/APIs), policies/plugins, consumers/apps, RBAC, OIDC/SAML SSO integration, mTLS, rate limiting/quotas, request/response transformation, JWT/OAuth2 patterns, WAF/threat-protection patterns, and multi-environment / multi-tenant design.
• Strong knowledge of API Gateway operations at scale (Kong/Gravitee/Tyk): HA deployments, control-plane/data-plane (or equivalent architecture), upgrades and lifecycle management, backup/restore, performance tuning, capacity planning, and integration with logging/metrics/tracing stacks, including SLO/SLI-driven operations.
• Deep practical experience with workflow/orchestration platforms (n8n and comparable tools): workflow design, triggers/webhooks, resilient execution (timeouts, retries, error handling, dead-letter-like patterns), secrets/credentials management, environment promotion, versioning, reusable components/templates, and governance/guardrails for safe multi-team adoption.
• Ability to integrate API Gateway + orchestration into a platform ecosystem: API lifecycle management, CI/CD and GitOps enablement, service catalogue onboarding, auditability and compliance, standardized patterns for squads, and operational integration with enterprise IdP, secrets vaults, and observability tooling. Deep knowledge of container and container orchestration services: Kubernetes, Docker, K8s operators. Openshift / EKS experience is a plus.
