Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team in Madrid. You will work in close collaboration with the customer’s onsite operational team, sharing responsibility for the management and optimisation of Dell infrastructure. This includes provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and support of advanced technologies such as Cyber Recovery solutions and PowerFlex Custom Nodes, contributing to a secure and high-performing IT environment.

? Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the customer’s operational team to manage and maintain Dell infrastructure components.
• Provision and configure Dell systems in line with standard procedures and customer-specific requirements.
• Optimise performance across servers, storage, and networking platforms.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance in accordance with DT Services and customer change management policies.
• Support firmware upgrades to maintain system stability and security.
• Conduct performance tuning and environment optimisation.
• Analyse infrastructure environments and share best practices.
• Generate operational reports using designated tools and dashboards.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reviews to resolve systemic issues.
• Operate and maintain Cyber Recovery environments to ensure data resilience.
• Manage PowerFlex Custom Nodes within scalable, software-defined infrastructure deployments.

? Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with Dell technologies (e.g. PowerEdge, PowerFlex, PowerProtect).
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT operations, change management, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Cyber Recovery and data protection strategies.
• Familiarity with software-defined and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
