Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior SharePoint Software Developer to support the development and maintenance of enterprise-level software systems for a leading EU institution. This fully remote role involves working on impactful public sector projects using Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint and .NET.

We are seeking a Junior SharePoint Software Developer to support the development and maintenance of enterprise-level software systems for a leading EU institution. This fully remote role involves working on impactful public sector projects using Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint and .NET.
Typical Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and develop the system.
- Lead development teams.
- Translate requirements into design.
- Optimize software from performance, security, and quality perspectives.
- Produce technical documentation.
- Estimate effort and time for development.
- Set software development standards.
- Propose technical solutions for business needs and technical problems.
- Collect and interpret software metrics.
- Manage configuration and releases.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, change management, and deployment.
- Test solutions and develop testing tools.
- Document developments.
- Prototype solutions.
- Act as 2nd and 3rd line support.
Required Qualifications
- Education: ICT-relevant university degree (EQF Level 6 or higher).
- Language Skills: English at minimum B2 level (CEFR).
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles or projects.
- Minimum 3 years working with .NET technologies.
- Experience in at least 2 projects involving the design, implementation, and deployment of solutions based on Microsoft Business Intelligence or similar technologies.
- In-depth knowledge on physical databases, SQL, BI, reporting tools, ETL tools, data modelling tools, OLAP and data mining tools
At least one of the following:
- Intermediate-level certificate in software development relevant to the domain.
- Equivalent internationally recognized certification (subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority).
Knowledge and Skills
- Has gone at least once through the complete lifecycle of a software solution.
- Expert in developing enterprise-level software systems in the specified technology domain.
- Knows UML and can design applications using UML.
- Proficient in designing and developing:
- Data layer
- Business logic layer
- UI layer
- Experience working in Scrum development environments.
- Capable of leading technical teams.
- Skilled in documenting technical solutions effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
