Senior Project Manager: Dubai or Abu Dhabi based

As a Senior Project Manager within our ambitious Smart Cities Program, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects that leverage technology and data to enhance urban living, sustainability, and efficiency. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and successful closure. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a deep understanding of smart city concepts and technologies. You will collaborate closely with government agencies, technology partners, urban planners, and community stakeholders to drive impactful and innovative solutions for the city.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for assigned smart city projects, ensuring alignment with the overall program vision and objectives.
•    Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.   
•    Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage and engage diverse stakeholders, including government officials, technology vendors, community groups, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
•    Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective contingency plans.
•    Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within allocated financial parameters.
•    Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet high quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations and best practices.
•    Reporting & Communication: Provide regular and transparent project status updates to program leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and key decisions.
•    Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the smart cities domain and champion the adoption of innovative solutions and best practices within projects.
•    Program Contribution: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Smart Cities Program methodologies, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
•    Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in managing complex technology-driven projects, with specific experience in smart city initiatives or related domains (e.g., IoT, data analytics, urban infrastructure).
•    Demonstrable experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
•    Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
•    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Familiarity with relevant smart city technologies, such as IoT platforms, data analytics, AI, and urban mobility solutions.   
•    Experience working with government agencies and public sector stakeholders is advantageous.
