Head of In-Flight Entertainment & Connected Cabin
Department: Digital & Customer Experience
Location: Doha, Qatar
Reports to: SVP, Customer Experience & Digital Innovation

About the Role

This position leads the future of the connected cabin experience. As the Head of In-Flight Entertainment & Connected Cabin, you will drive the transformation of the onboard digital ecosystem, integrating entertainment, connectivity, and data-driven systems to elevate the passenger journey. The role requires a visionary leader with a strong B2C background, deep digital expertise, and the ability to orchestrate complex stakeholder networks across technology, operations, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of in-flight entertainment and connected cabin programs.

  • Oversee the design and development of digital interfaces for passengers and crew, ensuring seamless and engaging experiences.

  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Platform team to integrate onboard aircraft data with cloud-based systems for real-time personalization and operational efficiency.

  • Drive solution architecture for new systems, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise IT standards.

  • Lead the development of linked crew devices and connected commerce platforms to enhance service delivery and onboard engagement.

  • Manage relationships with streaming partners, IFE vendors, cabin crew, operations, IT, and entertainment suppliers to deliver cohesive and innovative solutions.

  • Champion a connected cabin strategy that enhances both passenger and crew experiences through digital innovation.

  • Ensure alignment with broader CX and digital transformation goals, working closely with internal stakeholders across technology, product, and customer service.

  • Oversee supplier management, contract negotiations, and performance tracking across all entertainment and connectivity partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital transformation, IT systems, or in-flight entertainment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience in B2C environments, with a strong understanding of consumer behavior, digital engagement, and entertainment platforms.

  • Strong background in solution architecture, system design, and digital product development.

  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms, cloud integration, and onboard/offboard data synchronization.

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex vendor ecosystems and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

  • Deep understanding of connected experiences, preferably in aviation, hospitality, or consumer tech.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IFE systems (e.g., Panasonic, Thales, Viasat).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and IoT architectures.

  • Knowledge of digital UX/UI design principles.

  • Background in managing tech-entertainment programs or connected commerce platforms.

  • Passion for innovation in cabin experience and digital aviation.
