IT Development Team Lead

About the Role
A leading international financial group is seeking an experienced IT Development Team Lead to oversee a team of analysts and developers supporting one of its core life insurance policy administration platforms. This is a unique opportunity to join a company with a proven business model focused on acquiring and managing life insurance portfolios.

You’ll be responsible for guiding a local team in designing, building, and maintaining tools and interfaces that enhance operational efficiency and automation around the company’s life insurance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of IT analysts and developers, managing performance, priorities, and career development.
• Act as Scrum Master for individual life insurance-related projects.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of software releases and add-ons for the life insurance platform.
• Support group-wide IT installations and network operations.
• Drive the development of automation tools and interfaces between core systems and applications (e.g., MS Office, accounting software).
• Manage reporting tools and data flows (XML, CSV, databases).
• Develop custom scripts and tools to support policy administration and project initiatives.

Your Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience with life insurance systems and applications.
• Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, and object-oriented programming (Python, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
• Professional fluency in French or Dutch, and English.
• Knowledge of UL3 policy management system and its scripting language (asQit) is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
