Hello freelancers,

For one of my long-standing partners, I’m currently looking for a freelance System Test Engineer (M/F/D) to support an exciting project.

Project Details:

• Start: November
• Duration: 12 months (extension desired)
• Location: Remote, occasional on-site presence in Hamburg
• Workload: Full-time preferred, part-time possible (minimum 3–4 days/week)
• Role: System Test Manager – Freelance

Your Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution: Design, coordinate, and implement integration, system, and acceptance tests (manual & automated)
• Test Strategy & Quality Assurance: Develop test strategies and QA concepts; maintain test cases, test data, and test environments (incl. Kubernetes)
• Tool-Based Test Processes: Use XRay, Jira, and Confluence for managing, documenting, and communicating test results and progress
• Collaboration & Review: Work closely with stakeholders and project management; participate in requirement and specification reviews

Your Profile:

• QA Experience: Proven experience in testing complex systems with hardware/software components; solid knowledge of testing methods and tools (XRay, Jira)
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Git/GitLab, JMeter; ideally familiar with Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, Angular
• Working Style: Structured and analytical mindset, proactive, communicative, and a strong team player – perfect for agile environments like Scrum
• Certifications & Learning: ISTQB® Foundation Level is a plus; willingness to dive into complex systems and share knowledge within the team
