Technical Lead – Data Quality & Integration (m/f/d)

As a Senior Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company's data transformation journey. Your expertise will influence strategic decisions, shape data management frameworks, and deliver tangible business value. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor cross-functional teams in the architecture, design, and implementation of data quality and integration solutions, ensuring best practices and adherence to industry standards.
- Data Quality Management: Define and implement data quality frameworks, metrics, and methodologies using Informatica Data Quality, IBM DataStage QualityStage, and other relevant platforms to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of enterprise data.
- Integration Solutions: Architect, develop, and optimize complex data integration pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, and complementary ETL tools, addressing both batch and real-time data requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with business leaders, data stewards, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, translate business objectives into technical solutions, and deliver impactful results.
- Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end delivery of large-scale data integration and quality projects, including planning, resourcing, execution, and risk management.
- Best Practices & Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards; drive a culture of data stewardship and quality across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing systems, propose enhancements, and lead initiatives to improve data quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies: Keep abreast of advancements in data platforms, cloud integration, big data, and AI-driven data quality tools, recommending and implementing new technologies as appropriate.
- Issue Resolution & Support: Provide expert troubleshooting for complex data integration and quality issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business impact.
- Documentation & Training: Develop detailed technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, and provide training to team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, data quality management, and ETL development, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Tool Expertise: Proven expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Data Quality, IBM DataStage, and DataStage QualityStage. Experience with other ETL and data quality tools is an asset.
- Hands-on Skills: Strong knowledge of data modeling, relational and non-relational databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, etc.), and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud data integration services (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Dataflow, etc.) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Programming & Automation: Experience in workflow automation, job orchestration, and scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, etc.).
- Data Governance: Deep understanding of data governance principles, data lineage, metadata management, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and resolve data anomalies using advanced analytical techniques.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, managing diverse talents, and driving high-performance culture.
- Problem Solving: Advanced troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
- Certifications: Informatica, IBM DataStage, AWS, Azure, or other relevant credentials.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Business Acumen: Ability to connect technical solutions with business outcomes and ROI.
- Change Management: Skills in driving organizational change and user adoption for new data processes and platforms.
