Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Company: Fintech Startup
Key Responsibilities:
•
6+ years of experience design, implement, and manage an automated production platform on AKS, focusing on a multi-region active/active architecture.
•
Configure and manage Azure networking, identity and access management (IAM), and security best practices.
•
Deploy and manage YugabyteDB clusters on Azure, ensuring performance and reliability.
•
Implement image signing, image scanning, and enforce Calico and Azure policies for network security.
•
Develop Terraform scripts to automate cloud and Kubernetes resource provisioning, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments.
•
Optimize Kubernetes operations including scaling, monitoring, logging, and maintaining the health of the clusters.
•
Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure the platform meets the needs of the application, including CI/CD integration and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
•
Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud and Kubernetes technologies to continuously improve the platform.
Qualifications:
•
Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AKS.
•
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including networking, IAM, security, and multi-region deployments.
•
Experience with Kubernetes operations, including deployments, scaling, and policy management (e.g., Calico, Azure policies).
•
Hands-on experience with Terraform for automating infrastructure deployments.
•
Familiarity with database deployments on cloud platforms, preferably with YugabyteDB.
•
Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
