1. Mission Context & Objectives
The selected candidate will join the Life Information Systems division, which oversees development for underwriting and claims management applications related to life products. These systems are built using a Microfocus mainframe emulator on Windows (Cobol/Mix Cobol+.NET), with various frontend technologies (.NET, CRM), printing, integration, and communication tools.
Given the project-heavy roadmap ahead, we are seeking a solution-oriented, open-minded leader with strong project management skills to drive initiatives under tight deadlines and foster collaboration across multiple teams.
2. Mission Duration
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
3. Language Requirements
English and French or Dutch ar mandatory.
4. Location
- Brussels city center: 2 days/week
- Remote work: 3 days/week
5. Education
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Sciences, or equivalent

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Functional Experience (Mandatory)
- Prince2 project management methodology
- Waterfall methodology (Agile/Scrum is a plus)

7. Role Responsibilities
The Project Leader will manage multiple projects across diverse technologies. Key responsibilities include:

Project Governance: Define stakeholders, set up steering committees, and communication plans
Deliverables: Stakeholder matrix, communication plan -
Business Requirements Management: Define scope with architects and business, challenge over-engineering
Deliverables: Open point log, high-level goals and business case -
Architecture Coordination: Align with architects on outputs and milestones
Deliverables: Detailed architecture planning -
Budget & Roadmap Setup: Define product breakdown, estimate work packages, plan phases
Deliverables: Roadmap, detailed work plan, budget forecast, test plan -
Development Monitoring: Track progress and ensure alignment with scope, timing, quality, and budget
Deliverables: Highlight reports -
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and resolve risks/issues
Deliverables: Risk/Issue/Action log -
Stakeholder Communication: Implement and adapt communication plans as needed
