Team Lead Data Engineer Context

We are looking for an interim replacement who can start as soon as possible to ensure an overlapping period with the current team lead. The mission will stop when a new team lead will start as employee, ensuring also an overlapping period to ensure the right hand-over. The team is currently composed of 7 interns with different maturity level and 2 external consultants. Recently the data department was merged with the digital transformation team to reach about 60 people in total. The scope is to accelerate the data, AI and digital transformation of Partenamut. Keys Responsibilities o Leadership and Team Enablement : provide leadership and guidance to the data engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. o Data Infrastructure Management : oversee the management and optimization of Partenamut's core data infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability. o Project Implementation : support the implementation of large-scale Big Data projects, including the development and maintenance of data pipelines. o Performance Optimization : support the data team with design and performance optimization, ensuring efficient data processing and retrieval. o Data Modeling : oversee the creation and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, adhering to internal standards and best practices. o Stakeholder Management : collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. o Technical Expertise : utilize your expertise in SQL, big data, NoSQL technologies, and Python to drive technical excellence within the team. o Software lifecycle Expertise : support team members to follow and improve our data product lifecycle. o Target operating model : contribute with the other team leads of the department in the creation and implementation of the target operating model of the digital, data, AI and automation department. o Agile Methodology : work within an Agile framework, contributing to the continuous delivery of highquality data solutions. Expected Skills And Qualifications Of The Consultant Hard skills that the profile should ideally have (by order of importance) : 1. Cloud technologies, a certification will be a bonus. If the experience is on AWS it will be ideal. 2. Software development lifecycle. 3. SQL and Python. 4. Traditional ETL solutions. 5. Data Vault modeling as well as other data modelling techniques. 6. Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices. Soft skills that the profile should ideally have : • Relevant experiences in leading, coaching and mentoring technical teams. At least 2 years of leading team is mandatory. 5 years or more will be ideal. • Team work, problem solving mindset and communication skills. • Fluent in French and English (verbal & written). Start And Duration The consultant will start around the second half of July for a duration of 6 months with the possibility of extending for a duration of 6 additional months and to work 4 days minimum a week with us but full-time prefered (cf. DISPOSITIONS GENERALES). The start of the mission is expected to be as soon as possible, taking into account a week or 2 to set the administrative details after the decision is communicated. The duration of the mission is one year. Reminder : the quantities presumed to be included in the inventory take into account potential renewals but do not commit the contracting authority to order all of them. Engagement The consultant will be engaged as a Team Lead Data Engineer, 8h per day and 4 days minimum per week but full-time prefered (Monday to Friday) with the exception of : • National Holiday • Substitution days applicable to Partenamut staff, • Case of “force majeure” (on this subject, see also Personnel de l’adjudicataire (art. 16 ARE)), • Absence for a fixed period communicated in advance and in writing to the managing official and approved by him according to the needs of the service and the needs of continuity of activities. As we are currently working from the office on Mondays (it might change in a close future to Tuesdays) and Thursdays. Those days, we expect the consultant to also come to our office in Molenbeek for the period of the mission. Exception can be tolerated if justified and informed in advance to the N+1
