Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders (Payments Operations, Treasury, Compliance, Product teams) on payment processes, system capabilities, and best practices

Elicit, analyse, and challenge business requirements, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives, market standards, and regulatory frameworks

Translate business needs into:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Functional specifications
- User stories, process flows, and test scenarios

Provide subject matter expertise in payments, including:
- SEPA (SCT, SDD, SCT Inst)
- SWIFT (MT & ISO 20022 MX messages)
- Cross-border payments and correspondent banking
- Clearing and settlement mechanisms (TARGET2, TIPS, etc.)

Analyse end-to-end payment flows (initiation → clearing → settlement → reconciliation) and identify optimisation opportunities

Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements to existing systems, processes, and operating models

Work closely with IT teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements in payment platforms (e.g., T24, Temenos Payments Hub, Swift systems, etc.)

Define and execute functional testing activities, including:
- Test strategy and planning
- Test case design and execution
- SIT / UAT coordination
- Defect tracking and resolution

Validate end-to-end payment scenarios, ensuring compliance with business rules and regulatory obligations

Support regulatory and compliance initiatives, such as:
- PSD2
- ISO 20022 migration
- AML / sanctions screening impacts on payments

Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and user training sessions

Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams
