Business Intelligence Expert (m/f/d)

Your main responsibilities include:

Designing and maintaining Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and complex BI ecosystems, including Data Lakes and Data Lakehouses.
Architecting modern, cloud-native or hybrid data solutions to progressively replace legacy systems.
Ensuring architectural alignment with data governance frameworks and the organization’s cloud strategy.
Defining and implementing robust processes for data quality, auditing, and platform health monitoring.
Establishing and enforcing best practices, standards, and compliance rules across data platforms.
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to data analysts and engineers.
Supporting change management initiatives, particularly during migrations from legacy systems.
Producing comprehensive documentation for data architectures, assets, and technical workflows.
Assisting in deployment, configuration, and integration of data systems and tools.
Collaborating closely with other project teams and stakeholders across the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Proven experience in migrating legacy data systems to modern, scalable platforms.
Deep knowledge of data architecture design, including cloud-native and hybrid environments.
Proficiency with business intelligence tools and platforms.
Strong expertise in cloud data architecture and data platform scalability.
Solid experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
Mastery of ETL/ELT tools and processes (e.g., Spark, Talend, dbt, Fabric, SAP Data Services).
Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster).
Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., DataHub, OpenMetadata, Apache Atlas, Collibra), as well as data quality and security management.
Knowledge of DevOps practices applied to data infrastructure (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automation).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with data modelling and design tools.

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS

Ability to work effectively in multilingual and multicultural environments.
Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written).
Strong team player with leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
Methodical and rigorous approach to work, with adherence to established standards and naming conventions.
Experience in large-scale IT projects and environments.
Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities.
High level of discretion and professionalism, especially when handling personal and confidential data.
