Mainframe System Z Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe System Z Engineer to support and maintain critical enterprise infrastructure within a large-scale production environment. The role focuses on ensuring platform stability, performance, and reliability while contributing to modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
· Administer, maintain, and support IBM System z / Mainframe environments.
· Monitor system performance and implement optimization recommendations.
· Manage incident resolution, problem analysis, and root cause investigations.
· Support system upgrades, maintenance activities, and infrastructure projects.
· Collaborate with application, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure service continuity.
· Produce technical documentation and provide operational support for business-critical platforms.

Qualifications and Skills:
· Strong experience with IBM Mainframe System z environments.
· Expertise in z/OS administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of mainframe infrastructure, storage, and system performance management.
· Experience with incident management, problem solving, and production support activities.
· Ability to work with cross-functional technical teams in complex enterprise environments.
· Strong communication skills in English and ability to work autonomously.
