Technical Lead - Banking
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to support the delivery of Lending and Finance transformation programmes within a leading banking organisation in Abu Dhabi.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology and is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions, managing vendor engagement, and driving end-to-end technology delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, delivery teams, and implementation partners to ensure solutions are delivered according to agreed timelines and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a senior software engineering professional who has progressed into technical leadership, with strong integration expertise and experience delivering enterprise banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of Lending and Finance platform initiatives across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements and develop BRDs and functional specifications.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and implementation plans.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Define and manage integration requirements, architecture discussions, and delivery timelines.
- Lead vendor workshops, technical reviews, and design discussions.
- Drive end-to-end system integration activities across banking ecosystems.
- Develop and maintain delivery plans, technical roadmaps, and implementation schedules.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.
- Support project governance, issue resolution, and technical decision-making.
- Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with business, project, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure successful programme outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Solution Delivery, or Technical Leadership roles.
- Proven experience working as a Technical Lead within Banking or Financial Services environments.
- Strong experience delivering Lending, Loans, Finance, or Core Banking initiatives.

- REST Services
- Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Experience developing and reviewing BRDs, technical specifications, and solution designs.
- Strong understanding of vendor management and third-party solution delivery.
- Experience building project timelines, delivery plans, and integration roadmaps.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working with leading banking platforms and lending ecosystems.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native integrations.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience within large-scale banking transformation programmes.
