Threat Intelligence Manager

Our Client is seeking an experienced Threat Intelligence Manager to lead and evolve their cyber threat intelligence capability. Reporting to the Head of Information Security Cyber Defense Operations, this role will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and communicating cyber threats, delivering actionable intelligence to strengthen the organisation's security posture and protect critical information assets.

The successful candidate will drive the threat intelligence programme, providing strategic insight into emerging threat actors, attack techniques, and cyber risk trends. Working closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, and external intelligence-sharing communities, they will enhance threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Threat Intelligence function, aligning activities with business objectives and cyber risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a proactive Threat Intelligence programme, identifying and assessing emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct threat actor profiling, malware analysis, reverse engineering, and digital forensics investigations.
  • Produce and deliver actionable intelligence reports, briefings, and recommendations for both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Incident Response teams to support threat mitigation and cyber incident investigations.
  • Manage Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs) and ensure effective integration with security monitoring and response functions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry intelligence-sharing groups, including FS-ISAC and other external partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement in intelligence-gathering methodologies, threat detection capabilities, and reporting processes.
  • Support third-party security oversight and ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Analysis, Cyber Defence, or related security disciplines, ideally within a large enterprise or financial services environment.
  • Strong expertise in threat intelligence frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensics, and cyber incident investigations.
  • Experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), OSINT methodologies, and commercial threat intelligence feeds.
  • Knowledge of security and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SWIFT, and regional cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications such as GCTI, CTIA, CISSP, CISM, GCFA, GREM, or ENCE are highly desirable.
