A leading Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) organization is seeking an experienced Head of Product and Network Management to drive the development and evolution of Central Securities Depository (CSD) products and services. This leadership role will be responsible for shaping the product roadmap, overseeing strategic market infrastructure relationships, and ensuring the delivery of innovative, compliant, and client-focused post-trade solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of business requirements for core CSD functions, including Issuer CSD, Securities Settlement Systems, Central Maintenance Services, Asset Servicing, and Investor CSD services.
- Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle in collaboration with internal technology teams and external vendors, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, user stories, epics, and themes utilizing Agile methodologies including Scrum and MVP frameworks.
- Manage and coordinate product delivery, implementation, and ongoing enhancement initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external development teams to ensure successful execution against strategic priorities and timelines.
- Establish and apply testing methodologies to validate product functionality, gather user feedback, and continuously improve customer experience.
- Develop product success metrics, KPIs, and performance measures to support informed decision-making and drive business value.
- Support go-to-market activities by coordinating testing, documentation, operational readiness, and stakeholder engagement across Operations, Customer Services, Technology, and external market participants.
- Align product development and implementation activities with broader organizational objectives and operational requirements.
- Lead the establishment of new links and relationships with external Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and other Financial Market Infrastructures globally.
- Negotiate service enhancements, commercial arrangements, and cost optimization initiatives with market infrastructure partners.
- Oversee Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure effective service delivery across network relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Technology, or a related discipline. A Master's degree and/or professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum, CAPM) are advantageous.
- 10+ years of experience within Capital Markets, Financial Services, or Financial Market Infrastructure environments, with deep expertise in post-trade services, securities settlement, custody, securities lending, repo, collateral management, or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of Central Securities Depository (CSD) operations, securities settlement processes, market infrastructure ecosystems, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of leading product development and implementation initiatives, including large-scale technology and platform delivery programs from requirements definition through to deployment.
- Experience managing strategic relationships and operational links with external CSDs, custodians, market infrastructures, or financial institutions.
- Good understanding of international regulatory frameworks and standards, including CPMI-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI), CSDR, and related post-trade regulations.
- Strong product management expertise with experience applying Agile methodologies, product roadmaps, user stories, testing frameworks, and continuous product improvement practices.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, clients, regulators, vendors, and industry participants.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into business value.
- Experience with reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence tools; exposure to Python or advanced analytics is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required. Arabic language skills would be a plus.
