About the Position: You will play a pivotal role in managing multiple projects, providing leadership, analyzing requirements, and overseeing the development and implementation of cloud-based solutions based on the Google Cloud Platform.
Principal Duties:
- Develop and maintain an understanding of Google Cloud Platform, its services, and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and contribute to the development of scalable and efficient GCP-based solutions.
- Manage project constraints (scope, schedule, cost, quality).
- Manage stakeholder expectations and requirements in a collaborative manner.
- Develop project proposals, project charters, and project management plans.
- Coordinate resources availability and allocation.
- Monitor and control project execution against the project plan and budget.
- Lead risk management and mitigation efforts.
- Measure project progress using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Provide project status updates at predetermined time intervals to all stakeholders.
- Develop post-project support to ensure the measurement of project objectives.
- Ensure that project decisions are formally documented, and project deliverables are stored in the official project repository.
- Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant industry-recognized certification related to project management, e.g., PMP, Agile PM, SAFe, CSM.
- Preferred relevant industry-recognized cloud certifications, including Google Cloud Digital Leader.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management software.
- A minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience in IT/cloud project management.
- Experience in a professional services/consulting organization.
- Experience in Agile approaches to project management.
- Knowledge of IT project lifecycle and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven ability to manage budgets for projects greater than $1M.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
