An innovative technology company operating in the electrification sector is seeking a Hardware Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation electronic control units for demanding automotive applications. The role focuses on electronic design, circuit development, product validation, and collaboration with global engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic hardware solutions for embedded automotive applications.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, component selection, and technical documentation.
- Perform circuit analysis and design reviews to ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with PCB design teams to support layout activities and design optimisation.
- Support validation, testing, and industrialisation activities throughout the development process.
- Participate in technical discussions with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers while contributing to issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in electronic hardware design, circuit development, and product validation.
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics, PCB design principles, and component selection.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI design considerations and robust electronic design methodologies.
- Familiarity with functional safety concepts and risk analysis techniques within embedded systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional international teams.
