A leading international financial services organization is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer / Cloud Architect to support the design, implementation, and evolution of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions. The role focuses on enabling cloud adoption, driving engineering best practices, and supporting the development of highly available platforms that meet stringent security, governance, and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid solutions to support application and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, network, and security stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and technology strategies.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, reusable design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Implement infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and platform reliability.
- Design solutions supporting business continuity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and operational resilience objectives.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud platform issues and provide technical guidance to engineering teams while promoting operational excellence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
- Proven knowledge of cloud governance, security controls, resilience, and operational best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and platform engineering principles.
- Solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience concepts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with experience diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and mentor engineers.
