Senior System Engineer – Electrified Powertrain (m/f/d)

A global engineering organisation specialising in advanced electrification technologies is seeking a Senior System Engineer to support the development of complex powertrain systems for next-generation electric mobility applications. This position combines system engineering, technical leadership, customer interaction, and cross-functional coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
· Lead the definition, development, and delivery of system functions for electrified propulsion systems.
· Develop system concepts and requirements while balancing performance, quality, cost, timing, and customer expectations.
· Act as the technical focal point for assigned features and coordinate activities across software, hardware, safety, calibration, and validation teams.
· Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive the implementation of effective corrective actions.
· Support functional safety activities, including risk analysis, safety concepts, and compliance-related engineering tasks.
· Provide technical guidance, status reporting, and risk management support throughout project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:
· Extensive experience in system engineering within automotive, power electronics, or electrified propulsion environments.
· Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements engineering, integration, verification, and validation processes.
· Proven experience working on electric drive systems, power conversion technologies, or high-voltage applications.
· Knowledge of functional safety principles and safety-oriented product development.
· Strong analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and collaborate within multidisciplinary international teams.
