Senior Specialist, Production Engineering

Responsibilities
  • Applies engineering knowledge in developing data-driven algorithms and prototypes to implement robust and scalable industrial software solutions
  • Seek to reduce workflow bottlenecks by recognizing tool and workflow improvement opportunities spanning across multiple disciplines
  • Contributing to research and development of next generation model building, production optimization and surface and subsurface production optimization techniques
  • Generate innovative solutions that integrate real-time field sensor data, dynamic reservoir data and physics-based models with advanced analytical techniques for resource evaluations and development optimization
  • Perform studies and projects assuring adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of problems in areas, including stimulation, production, well design, and testing programs, reservoir flow properties, and fluid studies.
  • Thorough experience in Well inflow assurance and inflow control, Completion performance and sand control, Well reliability and conformity, Vertical lift performance and Artificial lift systems
  • Ability to integrate operation system and full field production delivery with production system debottlenecking efforts, well delivery optimization, integrating reservoir and production system simulations.
  • Provide detailed well programs any well interventional/operations and perform operational duty during operations
  • Experience in coordinating and overseeing workover activities such as well testing, cement bond logs frac, stimulation, coil tubing, and e-line in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Make recommendations and provide completion requirements, well integrity management, well reliability and conformity management, artificial lift requirements.
  • Demonstratable track record of in identifying opportunities and scope for cost reductions and quick wins, along with budgetary investments if needed.
  • Determining areas for improving efficiency and make recommendations on streamlining processes, automating workflows, implementing digital oilfield solutions, better/easier cross functional collaboration, and finding smarter ways of working to increase personnel effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Identifying software solutions to leverage available data to ensure single source of true data for all users, better surveillance of the processes and assets, triggers of alerts and tasks, to allow the operations teams to do more with less staff and to reduce operating costs and production deferments.
  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate significant contribution to Digital oil Field (IFM, IVM, IPM) deployments in the Middle east
  • Participate in the definition of Scope of Work for tenders and business development activities.
  • This includes defining scope of the analysis requirements, preparing specifications and assisting the data science team to translate business objectives in technical requirements.
  • Participate in Internal and External audits for the department.
Educational Requirements
  • Minimum MSc / BSc in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 8+ years of oil and gas production experience with specialization in digital transformation,
  • preferred in the region of the Arabian Peninsula
  • Experience in optimizing complex field development plans for giant oil and gas fields to reduce
  • field development cost.
  • Skilled in automation and remote operations
  • Proven track record of optimizing operations and reducing costs.
  • Experience in predictive maintenance for of artificial lift equipment or similar
  • Software experience: Petroleum System Experts (GAP, PROSPER), PipeSim, Hysis, Saphir, WellCat, MFrac (or equivalent), NeTool
  • Experience in well performance and surface network sensitivity and uncertainty analysis
