Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:
- Should have at least 12 years of experience in project management with experience in Oil & Gas industries.
- Should have at least done 3 corporate Project Management implementations, especially for Oil and Gas and energy industries.
- Must have previous hands on experience on subsurface / petrophysics projects
- Preferred to have on site experience – industrial / platforms / marine or rigs.
- Preferred to have experience with Data Management and Artificial Intelligence solutions.
- Expert and evangelist of multiple Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
- Expert user of Jira or comparable.
- Basic understanding of AI and Big Data challenges and opportunities.
- Basic understanding of the cloud computing technology stack.
- Basic understanding of web-based applications.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Petroleum, Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically in customer support and operations projects in Technology related projects for Oil & Gas and Energy Industry.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project implementation plans, incorporating key milestones and managing the entire project lifecycle using Agile methodology.
- Oversee all phases of project implementation, ensuring adherence to the project scope of work and preparing necessary documentation, including the final project report.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare Tender Packages, facilitating the issuance of Statements of Work (SOW) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to the market.
- Evaluate technical proposals and conduct thorough technical evaluations with assigned focal points.
- Perform detailed Cost/Benefit Analysis for subcontracting options versus internal development.
- Manage the execution of cloud-based product development with a team of data scientists and software engineers.
- Facilitate team meetings, agile ceremonies, and steering committee sessions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and address obstacles and dependencies, maintaining a risk register and action tracking system.
- Track and expedite delivery using appropriate tools, providing realistic estimates and managing expectations.
- Collect and evaluate data on team productivity, coordinating releases across multiple teams.
- Plan team/resource requirements, allocate resources, and manage project budgets (CAPX and OPEX).
- Develop operational plans and budget requirements for the department, aligning with people, operations, and technology.
- Participate in the development and regular reviews of teamwork, ensuring timely completion of activities.
- Coordinate project progress, updates, and risks communication to stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct post-project evaluations, capturing lessons learned, and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for the development of policies, processes, procedures, and systems in alignment with best practices and the company Code of Practices.
- Propose improvements in internal processes aligned with ISO standards.
- Manage both internal and external audits of the department, ensuring timely actions and closure of audit recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technology providers to develop detailed scopes of work.
- Assist the Product Manager in prioritizing and splitting requirements into deliverable user stories.
- Review the SOW with client focal points and finalize the project SOW.
