As the Head of Procurement at our innovative startup, you will play a pivotal role in transforming global procurement opportunities for regional hospitality clients, maximizing savings, and enhancing efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include:


Your Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's goals, ensuring the maximizing of savings and efficiency.
Sourcing, Attraction, and Signing of Hotel Suppliers: Proactively source, attract, and sign hotel suppliers globally, expanding our network and ensuring a diverse and high-quality supplier base and ensuring the procurement team are searching for the most competitive pricing possible
Tendering and Contracting: Oversee the tendering and contracting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
Supplier Management: Take primary responsibility for managing relationships with suppliers, actively supporting the management of key distributors. Conduct a rigorous approval process for new suppliers.
Risk and Compliance Management: Develop and implement procedures for risk management and mitigation, ensuring adherence to global standards and regulations.
Order Management & Quality Control: Oversee order management processes, ensuring consistency in quality, logistics, and service. Implement quality control and assurance measures.
Relationship Management and Negotiation: Manage relationships and negotiate with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level. Craft negotiation strategies, close deals with optimal terms, and ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms.
Supplier Relationship Development: Develop strong relationships with supply partners to enhance business performance and foster collaboration.
Global Market Exploitation: Develop an overall vendor base that creates and sustains a competitive advantage by leveraging global market opportunities, spends, and technologies.
Supplier Relationship and Evaluation Process: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
Collaboration with Research and Development: Work closely with Research and Development to source new and alternative raw materials, ensuring innovation in the supply chain.
Budget Management: Input and hold responsibility for purchasing and cost estimating budgets. Prepare annual purchasing budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements.

Your Qualifications:
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience managing budgets.
  • Educated to degree level (preferably Masters).
  • Preferably a Fellow or Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
  • Demonstrable experience leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership.
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs, and make business improvements.
  • Proven contract management and supplier experience.
  • Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
  • Computer literate, especially Excel.
6-Month Milestones:
  • Establish an overarching sourcing strategy.
  • Onboard the first 5-10 suppliers.
  • Support in the drafting of the first hotel agreement.
  • Conclude sourcing, negotiation, and tendering of the first 5 products.
