We are looking for a highly skilled API Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, FHIR standards, and RESTful API development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and securing APIs that enable interoperability in healthcare systems, leveraging modern cloud-native technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain FHIR-compliant and custom RESTful APIs.
  • Implement secure, scalable APIs using Azure API Management, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Ensure compliance with FHIR standards, including resource modeling, profiles, and CRUD operations.
  • Integrate with Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval.
  • Apply API security best practices, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and OWASP guidelines.
  • Deploy and manage APIs in Kubernetes environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data interoperability and transformation.
  • Document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI and test using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
  • Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues using Azure monitoring and logging tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, especially API Management, Data Factory, Functions, and Logic Apps.
  • Strong understanding of FHIR API standards, resources, and interoperability principles.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and/or .NET (ASP.NET Core) for API development.
  • Solid experience with RESTful API design, versioning, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
  • Strong database skills with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB.
  • Deep understanding of API security, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and OWASP top 10.
  • Experience with API testing and documentation tools like Postman, Swagger, and SoapUI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in healthcare or healthtech environments.
  • Knowledge of HL7 standards and healthcare data formats.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure.
  • Experience with data mapping and transformation for interoperability.
