Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced MS SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team for a client-facing mission in Antwerp. The ideal candidate is expected to have strong expertise in SQL Server management, optimization, and security. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role that requires working closely with infrastructure, development, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure SQL Server, including clustered environments
• Optimize database design and architecture
• Develop SQL code (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexing strategies)
• Tune performance and optimize queries
• Manage security, roles, and permissions
• Implement and monitor backup and recovery strategies
• Manage AlwaysOn Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery
• Proactively monitor systems and troubleshoot incidents
• Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application needs

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a MS SQL Server DBA
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019+
• Experience with AlwaysOn, SQL Server Agent, SSMS, and monitoring tools
• Solid understanding of database security best practices
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
