Senior Solution Architect: Dubai or Abu Dhabi based
As a Senior Solution Architect within our innovative Smart Cities Solutions Program, you will be instrumental in designing and architecting cutting-edge technology solutions that address the complex challenges and opportunities of urban environments. You will be responsible for translating business requirements and strategic objectives into robust, scalable, and secure architectural blueprints for our smart city initiatives. This role demands a deep technical understanding of various technologies relevant to smart cities, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with project managers, development teams, data scientists, and urban planners to ensure the successful implementation of our smart city vision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end smart city solutions, encompassing areas such as IoT platforms, data analytics, AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and citizen engagement platforms.
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, functional and non-functional requirements, and translate them into clear and comprehensive technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools based on technical requirements, cost considerations, scalability needs, and security standards.
• Integration Design: Define integration strategies and architectures for connecting diverse systems and data sources within the smart city ecosystem, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Scalability & Performance: Design solutions that are highly scalable, performant, and resilient to meet the evolving needs of the city and its inhabitants.
• Security Architecture: Develop and implement robust security architectures and best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of smart city systems.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to architectural designs and best practices.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and design patterns.
• Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the smart cities domain and proactively identify opportunities to leverage them in our solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication: Effectively communicate architectural designs and technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders, including executive leadership, project managers, and technical teams.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in solution architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing complex, large-scale systems.
• Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following areas relevant to smart cities: IoT platforms, data analytics, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML, cybersecurity, networking, and API design.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical architectures.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns, integration methodologies, and data modelling principles.
• Experience with security architecture and best practices for cloud and IoT environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with urban data, geospatial technologies, or smart city platforms is highly desirable.
