We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Mechanical Technician with a background in submarine systems. This hands-on role involves providing crucial technical expertise, assisting with the drafting of manufacturing requirements, and contributing to the overall success of innovative platform development.

Responsibilities:

• Generate detailed CAD drafts and technical drawings based on design specifications.
• Provide practical support to workshop activities, including proficient tool handling and assembly of mechanical components.
• Utilize basic CAD design skills to contribute to the development and refinement of mechanical systems.
• Effectively communicate technical needs and requirements to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Proactively follow up on lead times for materials and components, ensuring project timelines are met.
• Advise the Mechanical Design Office on the technical feasibility and manufacturability of designs.
• Assist in the creation of documentation and specifications for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician.
• Demonstrable background and experience working with submarine systems or related marine technologies.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Hands-on workshop experience with a strong understanding of mechanical assembly and tool usage.
• Basic CAD design skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a design engineering role, contributing to the development of innovative platforms and system design.
• Manufacturing skills and a practical understanding of various manufacturing processes.
