Tax Compliance and Reporting Specialist

Role Overview: The Interim Tax Compliance and Reporting Specialist will ensure the company's adherence to tax regulations and accurate tax reporting. This role also involves supporting transfer pricing, restructuring, and R&D projects under the supervision of a manager.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance for Belgian Subsidiaries: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns and other tax filings for Belgian subsidiaries accurately and on time. Collaborate closely with subsidiary accountants and various departments to ensure efficient data gathering. Calculate advance tax payments and ensure timely payment.
  • Tax Reporting: Calculate monthly tax provisions for Belgian subsidiaries and review tax provisions calculated by foreign subsidiaries under IFRS. Prepare tax calculations for budgets and forecasts.
  • Pillar 2 : Data gathering for Pillar 2 calculations from the different subsidiaries
  • Transfer Pricing: Assist in preparing documentation to ensure compliance with international tax regulations, under the support of the tax manager.
  • R&D Projects: Gather and analyze data for various R&D tax incentives. Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
  • Restructuring Projects: Assist in restructuring projects (e.g., mergers, liquidations) by assessing tax aspects, following up with tax advisors, and managing the practical rollout and follow-up of steps to be executed. Collaborate closely with legal, treasury, and accounting teams.
  • Managerial Support: Work closely with the tax manager to provide insights and recommendations on tax-related matters. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 4-5 years) in tax compliance and reporting for multinationals.
  • Familiarity with R&D tax incentives is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on approach and ability to work independently.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are fluent in either Dutch or French, and have a strong command of English—both written and spoken.
