Data Governance Specialist (m/f/d)

A large international organisation is strengthening its data capabilities to improve data reliability, automation, and overall data governance.
The assignment is part of a broader transformation programme aiming to scale data quality practices, reduce manual controls, and leverage advanced technologies to support business decision‑making.

The expert will act as a senior reference on data quality, working across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities:
·  Assess existing data quality practices and perform a data quality maturity review
·  Define and implement data quality rules, controls, and validation processes across data pipelines
·  Design automated monitoring, alerting, and remediation workflows for data issues
·  Contribute to the definition of a scalable data quality framework and deployment roadmap
·  Leverage advanced techniques (including AI‑based approaches) to optimise data controls and anomaly detection
·  Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and alignment with internal teams and stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:
·  Strong experience in data quality, data governance, and data validation practices
·  Solid background in data platforms, data processing and analytics environments
·  Experience designing automated controls, monitoring dashboards, and KPI reporting
·  Ability to translate business requirements into measurable data quality rules
·  Familiarity with cloud‑based or modern data ecosystems
·  Strong communication skills, able to work with both technical and business stakeholders
