Desktop Engineer 

The Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and administration of the on-premises end-user computing environment. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of desktop devices, operating systems, peripherals, and workplace technology while delivering excellent customer support to end users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral-related issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and enterprise applications.
  • Support on-premises Active Directory, Group Policy, file shares, and end-user access requests.
  • Manage hardware deployments, upgrades, device refreshes, and asset lifecycle activities.
  • Perform break-fix support, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for endpoint devices.
  • Support office IT infrastructure, including meeting room technology, network connectivity, and workplace devices.
  • Maintain endpoint security standards, patching, antivirus, and compliance requirements.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and technical procedures within the ITSM platform.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application support teams to resolve escalated issues.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of desktop support or end-user computing experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting on-premises environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise device management.
  • Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, imaging, software deployment, and endpoint security tools.
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools and service management processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • ITIL Foundation
