Independent ERP Validation Consultant – Finance Module Specialist 

Location: Abu Dhabi 

Engagement Type: 6 month extendable contract 

 We are looking for a seasoned ERP Consultant with a strong Finance and Accounting background to act as an independent validator. The consultant will conduct a comprehensive end-to-end review and validation of the Finance module and assess the overall ERP system integrity, data accuracy, process efficiency, internal controls, and integration quality across modules. This is a pure advisory/audit-style engagement with no development or implementation responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a complete end-to-end validation of the Finance module (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Tax/VAT compliance, etc.).
• Validate end-to-end business processes, data flows, system configurations, and integration points with other modules.
• Assess system accuracy, data integrity, internal controls, segregation of duties, and compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and local statutory requirements.
• Conduct neutral, third-party validation of other ERP modules (Procurement, Inventory, Sales, HR/Payroll, etc.) focusing on cross-module integration, functionality gaps, and alignment with best practices.
• Identify risks, control weaknesses, process inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
• Provide a detailed validation report with findings, risk ratings, prioritized recommendations, and a high-level roadmap for remediation.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders in a clear, objective manner.
• Maintain complete independence and neutrality (no affiliation with any ERP vendor or implementation partner).

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• Professional certification strongly preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an ERP Consultant / ERP Auditor / Finance Systems Analyst, with at least 4 years focused on Finance module validation or implementation.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (custom-built, in-house developed, or major platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, etc.). Experience validating custom/internal ERPs is highly advantageous.
• Deep knowledge of financial accounting processes, internal controls (SOX or equivalent), and ERP system architecture.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory environment (VAT, IFRS, corporate tax, Zakat where applicable) is a strong plus.
• Proven track record of acting as an independent / third-party consultant or auditor.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality and neutrality.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in the UAE/GCC market.
• Exposure to end-to-end ERP health checks, gap analysis, or pre-go-live/post-implementation reviews.
• Strong understanding of system integration, data migration validation, and automated controls.
• Proficiency in using ERP testing tools, SQL for data validation, or audit analytics tools.
