Full Stack Java Developer – Financial Services

As part of a strategic technology transformation program, the organization is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to join its development team and contribute to the evolution of critical business applications.

Role Overview

The Full Stack Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications within a complex enterprise ecosystem. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to implement reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies.
• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and application components.
• Develop front-end functionalities using modern web technologies.
• Participate in application design, architecture discussions, and technical decisions.
• Translate business requirements into efficient and maintainable technical solutions.
• Contribute to the modernization and enhancement of existing platforms.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support production releases.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure application performance, security, and reliability.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA teams, and Infrastructure teams.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience in Java development (Java 11/17+).
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Good experience with front-end technologies (Angular, React, or equivalent).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with enterprise application development in a large-scale environment.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, Docker, or Kubernetes is an advantage.

Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Java Developer.
• Previous experience within Banking, Financial Services, Asset Management, or another regulated industry.
• Experience working on complex international projects.
• Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
