Recruitment Scam Alert: Beware of Fake Halian Job Offers

At Halian, the trust and safety of our candidates are extremely important to us.

We have become aware of individuals falsely using the Halian name and the name of our Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Fry, in connection with fake recruitment opportunities. These individuals may contact job seekers claiming to represent Halian and may request money in exchange for a job opportunity or as part of the recruitment process this is a scam.

Halian Will Never Ask Candidates for Money

We want to make this absolutely clear:

Halian will never ask a candidate to make a payment at any stage of the recruitment process.

This includes requests for money in relation to:
• Securing or confirming a job offer
• Interviews or recruitment processes
• Onboarding
• Training or certifications
• Equipment or other employment-related costs
• Any other reason connected to obtaining employment with Halian

If someone claiming to represent Halian asks you to transfer money or make a payment in order to secure a position, do not make the payment. This is not a legitimate Halian recruitment process.

Be Careful When Receiving Recruitment Messages

Scammers may use the names of real companies or employees to make their communications appear genuine. The use of the Halian name, logo, or the name of Stuart Fry does not necessarily mean that a communication is actually from Halian.

If you receive an unexpected job offer or recruitment message claiming to be from Halian, take a moment to verify the source before sharing any information or taking further action.

If anything appears suspicious or you are unsure whether a communication is legitimate, do not respond, click on links, download attachments, or provide personal or financial information until you have verified the contact through an official Halian channel.

What to Do If You Have Been Contacted

If you believe you have received a fraudulent recruitment message:
1. Do not send any money or additional information.
2. Stop communicating with the sender.
3. Do not click suspicious links or download attachments.
4. If you have already made a payment or shared financial information, contact your bank immediately.
5. Report the incident to the relevant local authorities where appropriate.
6. Contact Halian through an official channel if you need to verify whether a recruitment opportunity or communication is genuine.
