We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale, mission-critical on-premises infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven track record in highly regulated industries such as government or financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure on-premises infrastructure solutions.
• Lead infrastructure strategy and roadmap for mission-critical, high-availability systems
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects, from planning through deployment and optimization.
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, and regulatory standards (especially within government or financial sectors).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application, security, and operations.
• Drive modernization initiatives while maintaining stability of legacy systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical system issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture or engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in on-premises data center architecture, including compute, storage, and networking.
• Proven experience with large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Experience working in government entities or financial institutions 
• Familiarity with enterprise technologies (e.g., virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, backup systems, networking).
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience managing complex infrastructure environments with strict uptime requirements.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Kubernetes (K8s) – design, deployment, and operations in on-Prem environments.
• Database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar enterprise-gradesystems).
• Apache Kafka – architecture, scaling, and operational management.
• Redis – high-performance caching and data store design.
• HashiCorp Vault – secrets management, encryption, and secure access control.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, VMware, Cisco, Microsoft).
