Build the Systems Behind Enterprise Transformation

We are seeking a Senior Backend / Workflow Engineer to design and build the services, workflows, and orchestration platforms powering large-scale enterprise products.
This is not a traditional API development role.
You'll build workflow engines, transactional systems, approval processes, integrations, and business-critical services that support thousands of users and complex operational processes.

What You'll Do

  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs
  • Build workflow engines and state-management systems
  • Design resilient enterprise integrations
  • Model complex approval processes and long-running transactions
  • Implement event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing
  • Build secure, auditable, highly available systems
  • Collaborate closely with AI, product, and engineering teams
  • Influence platform architecture and engineering standards

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, C#, or Node.js
  • Experience building production-grade APIs and services
  • Strong data modelling and relational database knowledge
  • Experience with event-driven and distributed systems
  • Containerisation and cloud-native development experience
  • Strong understanding of system reliability, security, and scalability

Nice to Have

  • Temporal, Camunda, BPMN, or workflow platforms
  • Kafka, RabbitMQ, Event Hubs, or Service Bus technologies
  • ERP and SAP integrations
  • Kubernetes and cloud platforms
  • Enterprise-scale transaction systems
