Senior Frontend Designer
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Designer to design, build, and maintain modern, responsive, and accessible web applications for enterprise and customer-facing digital platforms.
This role combines deep frontend expertise with the ability to contribute to backend services and integrations. You will work closely with UX designers, product owners, backend engineers, and AI/ML teams to deliver intuitive, high-performance user experiences while ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience building production-grade React applications, developing reusable component libraries, integrating APIs, and contributing to Node.js and Python-based backend services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable React.js component libraries
- Translate Figma, Adobe XD, and design specifications into responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces
- Build responsive layouts using modern CSS techniques including Flexbox, CSS Grid, and mobile-first principles
- Develop interactive dashboards featuring charts, tables, and real-time data visualizations
- Manage application state using Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Context API
- Integrate and consume RESTful APIs while managing loading, error, and empty states effectively
- Optimize frontend performance through lazy loading, memoization, code splitting, and bundle optimization
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility requirements
- Develop and execute unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library
- Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js (Express/NestJS)
- Develop Python-based services and APIs using FastAPI or Flask
- Collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to integrate model outputs into user-facing applications
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to UI/UX improvements
- Maintain high-quality, well-documented code through Git workflows, code reviews, and pull request processes
- Contribute to Agile delivery processes and sprint planning activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
Frontend Development
- 6+ years of hands-on experience developing production applications using React.js
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Experience with modern UI frameworks and libraries including Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or shadcn/ui
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and frontend architecture
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, semantic markup, and accessibility standards
- Experience integrating REST APIs and implementing asynchronous programming patterns
- Strong experience with state management solutions including Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Context API
Backend Development
- Experience developing REST APIs using Node.js, Express, or NestJS
- Hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI or Flask)
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks including JWT and OAuth 2.0
General Engineering Skills
- Experience using Git, pull request workflows, and code review processes
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR)
- Strong data visualization experience using Chart.js, Recharts, or D3.js
- Exposure to React Native or cross-platform mobile development
- Experience integrating AI services, LLM APIs, or Azure OpenAI/OpenAI solutions
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or RAG-based architectures
- Knowledge of banking, fintech, or regulated industry environments
- Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
- Exposure to microfrontend architectures and Module Federation
- Experience implementing WebSocket and real-time applications
- Knowledge of Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
