A leading international financial market infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced API Governance & Architecture Specialist to join its technology team. The organisation is focused on enabling secure, scalable, and efficient digital integration capabilities, supporting both internal and external stakeholders through a mature API ecosystem and modern technology practices.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve API governance standards, frameworks, processes, and best practices across the organisation.
- Design and oversee API architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise technology strategy.
- Support development teams and stakeholders throughout the API lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and adoption.
- Provide expert guidance on API security, lifecycle management, and integration practices within a highly controlled environment.
- Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating new opportunities, including proof-of-concepts and emerging digital initiatives.
- Promote an API-first culture through coaching, knowledge sharing, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise API solutions.
- Strong knowledge of API security, identity management, authentication, and authorisation principles.
- Proven experience working with cloud-based environments and modern software delivery practices.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and solution architecture principles.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across technical and business audiences.
- Experience working within regulated environments with a strong focus on security, compliance, and risk management.
