A leading organisation operating in a complex, multi-channel digital environment, delivering high-quality services across web, mobile, and backend platforms. The organisation is currently undergoing a transformation of its digital capabilities and is seeking a Digital Platform Architect to shape and govern its platform architecture while enabling scalable and secure innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the target architecture across mobile, web, and backend integration layers
• Establish architectural principles to ensure scalability, extensibility, and maintainability of the platform
• Define integration patterns, platform boundaries, and contribution models for internal and external teams
• Provide technical leadership and support decision-making across engineering teams and stakeholders
• Identify technical risks and drive mitigation strategies to ensure platform stability and security
• Support proofs of concept, MVP initiatives, and continuous improvement of architecture practices

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or Platform Architect
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture principles and multi-channel platforms
• Experience designing API-driven and integration-based architectures
• Knowledge of cloud-based, distributed, and modular system design
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
• Pragmatic, hands-on mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence and business needs

Additional Information

• Languages: English is mandatory; Dutch or French with strong Dutch understanding required
• Location: Brussels area
• Hybrid working model with minimum on-site presence required after onboarding
• Initial contract duration with possible extensions
