Role Overview: Cloud Consultant
The organisation is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Consultant to design, implement, and optimise cloud solutions for a variety of clients. This role involves working across technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives while staying at the forefront of cloud innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Develop and deploy scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Optimize Cloud Environments: Continuously evaluate and enhance existing cloud solutions to improve performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Technical Delivery: Contribute to hands-on engineering tasks, including coding and system development where required.
- Architecture and Strategy: Advise stakeholders on cloud architecture decisions and best practices aligned with business objectives.
- Collaboration and Communication: Engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Support and guide junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and team development.
- Presentation and Advisory: Deliver presentations, demos, and recommendations on new tools, trends, and solutions in the cloud ecosystem.
- Agile Delivery: Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to deliver high-quality solutions in iterative cycles.
Qualifications and Skills
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with at least one leading cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Professional Experience: 4–5+ years in roles such as Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Software Developer, or Cloud Architect.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, infrastructure, and modern development practices.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferred).
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications at a professional level are advantageous.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex technical scenarios and design effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive mindset with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and quality in solution design and implementation.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in dynamic environments with varied projects and requirements.
- Language: Strong/Fluent Dutch is essential
