A large international organisation operating in a secure and complex IT environment, delivering critical infrastructure and digital services to support business operations. The organisation is currently seeking a Senior System Design Engineer to strengthen its system engineering and infrastructure capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and reliable system designs
- Assess design options, identifying benefits, limitations, and trade-offs
- Ensure solutions meet compliance, performance, and operational requirements, and support their deployment
- Drive system optimisation, including capacity management and performance improvement initiatives
- Lead complex incident resolution activities and perform root cause analysis
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to continuous system improvement
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong experience in system engineering and IT infrastructure environments
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges
- Experience with automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency
- Knowledge of system operations, including incident management and application lifecycle management
- Understanding of risk, security, and infrastructure service delivery principles
- Strong collaboration skills with a flexible, adaptive, and results-oriented mindset
