We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join a leading financial services environment and contribute to the modernization and optimization of critical data platforms. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, ETL management, and collaboration with business and technology teams to ensure reliable and scalable data solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain database solutions, stored procedures, and automation scripts.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and efficiency.
  • Build and support data integration workflows, including ingestion, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Modernize legacy scripts and applications while improving maintainability and reliability.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience working with enterprise database platforms and SQL development.
  • Strong expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and data modelling.
  • Solid experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, scheduling tools, and data quality controls.
  • Experience within financial services or banking environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices, source control tools, and Agile methodologies.
