Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a technology-driven organisation responsible for protecting critical digital services and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions while ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:
· Design, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity solutions across complex IT environments.
· Implement security controls, hardening measures, and vulnerability remediation processes.
· Monitor security systems and ensure the effectiveness of protective mechanisms.
· Support operational teams in security-related activities and incident prevention.
· Configure and maintain security technologies, network security controls, and authentication mechanisms.
· Develop automation scripts and tools to improve security operations and compliance.
· Assess infrastructure, applications, and services for security risks and recommend improvements.
· Produce technical documentation, security reports, and stakeholder presentations.
· Collaborate with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to strengthen overall security posture.

Qualifications and Skills:
· Strong experience in cybersecurity engineering within enterprise environments.
· Excellent knowledge of identity and access management concepts.
· Hands-on experience with authentication and encryption technologies.
· Good understanding of network security, firewalls, routing, and secure communications.
· Experience securing Linux and Unix-based platforms.
· Knowledge of secure software development practices and security-by-design principles.
· Ability to perform security assessments and implement remediation plans.
· Experience working in Agile and collaborative project environments.

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security engineering.
