Senior Solution Architect (Corporate Banking)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade solutions within a complex corporate banking environment.
This role requires deep domain expertise across corporate banking platforms, combined with strong technical architecture capability to design scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust architectural designs while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
You will act as a trusted technical leader, partnering with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality solutions across multiple programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture design, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and business objectives
- Develop and maintain key artefacts including solution blueprints, system architecture diagrams, data models, and API/integration designs
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks aligned to functional and non-functional requirements
- Design and optimise cloud-based architectures leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
- Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, working closely with cross-functional teams
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure consistency across multiple initiatives
- Drive improvements in performance, scalability, security, observability, and reliability
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements within the banking domain
- Integrate and collaborate with third-party vendors and platforms
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10–15 years of experience in solution architecture, with strong exposure to corporate banking domains
- Deep domain knowledge including cash management, corporate payments, trade finance, and supply chain finance
- Proven experience designing modern, scalable, cloud-based platforms
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and distributed system design
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Background in software development with exposure to technologies such as Java, Python, and REST APIs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent preferred
