Key Responsibilities
User Experience & Product Design
  • Lead the end‑to‑end UI/UX design process, from discovery and user understanding through to final design delivery.
  • Design and enhance customer‑facing digital journeys, ensuring clarity, consistency, and usability.
  • Deeply understand user needs, expectations, and behaviours, translating these into thoughtful design solutions.
  • Review and improve existing designs, interfaces, and components to elevate the overall customer experience.
  • Go beyond existing patterns to propose new and improved digital experiences where appropriate.
UI & Front‑End Design
  • Design clean, modern, and accessible user interfaces aligned with brand and usability standards.
  • Improve and redesign widgets, components, and layouts to enhance readability, engagement, and interaction.
  • Ensure UI designs are accurately translated to the front end, working closely with developers.
  • Maintain consistency across platforms while allowing flexibility for innovation.
Conversational & Digital Experience
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of chat‑based and conversational experiences (e.g., chatbots).
  • Focus on clarity of conversation flows, visual structure, and ease of use.
  • Ensure conversational interfaces align with overall digital UX principles.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, ideally demonstrating experience operating at a senior, delivery‑focused level.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other designers to ensure designs are feasible and delivered accurately.
  • Clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Branding & Standards
  • Apply and respect branding guidelines across all design outputs.
  • Balance brand compliance with usability and innovation.
  • Help push digital experiences forward while staying aligned with established standards.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
  • 10–15 years’ experience in UI/UX design or related roles.
  • Strong experience across both UI and UX (this is not a UX‑only or UI‑only role).
  • Proven track record designing customer‑facing digital products.
  • Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma (and similar).
  • Strong understanding of front‑end design principles and how designs are implemented.
  • Experience improving existing products, not just creating from scratch.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast‑moving environment.
Desirable
  • Experience designing chatbots or conversational interfaces.
  • Background in large, consumer‑facing organisations.
  • Experience working within structured branding environments.
  • Exposure to highly regulated or enterprise digital platforms.
  • Experience in the travel or transportation sector is a plus, but not required.
