A large international organisation operating in a complex and high-availability environment, delivering mission-critical digital services. The company is focused on maintaining robust production systems and continuously improving operational excellence through modern distributed architectures and strong DevOps practices. They are currently seeking a senior-level Production Support Engineer to reinforce their operations and maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 production support, managing complex incidents escalated from lower support levels and actively participating in critical incident resolution sessions
- Perform in-depth technical investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) to ensure long-term resolution of production issues
- Implement corrective actions, including bug fixes, patches, and small enhancements within the application landscape
- Participate in deployment activities across non-production environments, including rehearsals and validation exercises
- Maintain and update operational documentation, procedures, and runbooks to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing
- Ensure accurate tracking, follow-up, and traceability of incidents and changes within the IT service management system
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in Level 3 production support within distributed systems and complex application environments
- Strong ability to alternate between support activities and development tasks such as debugging, patching, and system improvements
- Solid understanding of microservices-based architectures and event-driven systems
- Experience working in Linux-based environments and managing application logs for troubleshooting purposes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes, including rollback strategies
- Autonomous, proactive, and resilient mindset with the ability to work effectively in SLA-driven and high-pressure environments
