A leading international organisation operating in a highly regulated environment is seeking a Security Engineering Lead to strengthen its application security and software development governance practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing secure development standards, improving code quality processes, and driving security integration across the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices and application security policies.
- Lead the implementation and adoption of code quality and security analysis processes across development teams.
- Establish and govern secure coding standards, development guidelines, and quality controls.
- Oversee vulnerability identification, remediation tracking, and risk reduction within software development activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to embed security controls into delivery processes.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to development teams on secure development best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong experience in application security and secure software development lifecycle governance.
- Solid understanding of code quality management, vulnerability remediation, and secure coding principles.
- Experience working within modern software delivery and continuous integration environments.
- Knowledge of containerisation, orchestration technologies, and cloud-native development practices.
- Familiarity with industry-recognised application security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Professional-level English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
