We are looking for a Project Manager to join our client, a financial institution.

Tasks
  • Act as point-of-contact between the user community and the development team, and manage project communications and transition activities.
  • Analyse user requirements and produce software specification of functional evolutions of the Fund Reporting Repository module (already identified in the product backlog).
  • Identify data duplication with other systems and produce software specification for relocation of features & data to the SERAPIS and CLM core applications.
  • Produce specifications of new online reports linked to the Fund Reporting Repository module.
  • Develop new online reports linked to the Fund Reporting Repository module (KPIs, Project progress reports).
  • Perform impact analysis of the new Front-to-Back instruction tool (NOW project) on the Fund Reporting Repository module.
  • Assess data quality and perform preliminary testing of developed reports.
  • Coordinate the implementation of tickets and features in releases with the IT owner.
  • Prepare, coordinate and/or execute testing activities (including non-regression tests).
  • Update the data glossary and the user guide.
  • Produce the required project documentation (business case, project charter, detailed requirements, test case document, etc.).
  • Assist in the preparation of the conceptual data models and use cases to initiate the creation of a Middle Office solution to manage intermediated products (e.g., portfolio guarantees, investment funds).
  • Assist in the design and execution of the testing (including non-regression testing) of the Middle Office solution.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree at a related field
  • 7+ years of experience as a project manager
  • Extensive knowledge of how investment funds work (e.g. roles of the different actors in the fund industry, concept of share class and NAV)
  • Sound knowledge of risk sharing instruments (portfolio guarantees, contingent loans)
  • Sound knowledge of information exchange (e.g. payment instruction, cash transfer) between Front/Middle office and back office
  • Good SQL and data-analysis
  • Knowledge of defect tracking / ticketing tools
  • Mastering of office tools like MS-Word, MS-Visio, MS-Excel, MS-Access
  • Professional experience as Project manager or Business Analyst in a bank or other financial institution
  • Relevant professional experience in the development of end-user reports
  • Knowledge of business analysis, process and/or data mode ling techniques like UML, ARIS, ERM or similar
  • Knowledge of document management platforms
  • Proven experience in data migration projects
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and practices is required, and a certification will be appreciated (PMI; PRINCE 2 or similar)
  • Knowledge of lending, fund management and financial applications wil be plus
  • Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical ski ls and accuracy
  • Strong sense of commitment and problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in English (good command of French would be an advantage)
  • Capacity to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; strong drafting skills in English and also in French
